Day to day living in Mallorca

ADD YOUR IDEAS BELOW, PLEASE!

WHAT NOT TO BRING

  1. You will not need many pairs of long pants or socks here -- it is too darn HOT in the summer. I loaded up on everything the first year and only touched one pair of pants -- and that was for traveling and graduation.

WHAT TO BRING

  1. Here's a few things that came in handy:
    - Extension cord
    - Flip-flops for wandering the apartment, which may turn out to be a bit lived-in
    - Don't forget your alarm clock!
  2. If you are staying in a place with no AC or fans available (i.e., you are cheap like me), consider just buying a fan at the supermarket. They are not too expensive and one good night of sleep may be worth 20 bucks.
  3. Remember that if you want to attend graduation (even if you are not graduating), you may want to have one decent outfit.
  4. People do go out in the evening to clear their heads for more academic prowess the next day (yeah, that's the ticket). So don't forget the appropriate gear for whatever you like to do in the evenings -- dancing gear, leather pants, gold tooth-caps, platinum handcuffs -- whatever sprinkles your cupcake, Cupcake.
